Tax Associate – Technology

  • Understand tax department workflow, processes, procedures, and technologies
  • Assist with weekly, monthly, and annual scheduling process
  • Manage and monitor cloud based tax technology tools, assisting employees and clients
  • Develop integrations and no-code API approach to streamline tasks
  • Database reporting with PowerBI
  • Quality Control the electronic delivery of tax returns
  • Assist with evaluation, planning, implementation, and support for new software initiatives
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends during the weeks leading up to major tax deadlines

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 1-3 years in public accounting or professional services firm
  • Excellent technology skills with an aptitude to learn new applications
  • Able to work independently, as part of a team and works well under pressure
  • Communicate in a professional manner at all levels and with all audiences with a sense of urgency
  • Understand and adhere to accounting industry, firm, and legal policies for quality, risk mitigation, confidentiality, and data privacy
  • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and a proven ability to take the initiative and take responsibility for completing your work
  • Heavy experience with MS Office products, extensive technical knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and cross connect from multiple sources of data
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and electronic document handling
  • Experience with CCH (ProSystem, Engagement, Axcess) is helpful but not required
  • This position is based in our San Jose/Campbell office (not a remote position)
