Implementation of New Accounting Standards for Nonprofits Seminar


The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has issued several updates over the past few years that will significantly impact the following areas: presentation and the disclosures of the financial statements for nonprofit entities, revenue recognition and reporting and presentation of leases. Our complimentary seminar will be presented by members of the ASL Nonprofit Group and will provide insights into each of these major changes as well as provide practical examples and implementation guidance.

  • FASB ASU No. 2014-09 Revenue from Contracts with Customers (Topic 606) providing a new framework for revenue recognition
  • FASB Proposed ASU Non-for-Profit Entities (Topic 958) – Clarifying the Scope and the Accounting Guidance for Contributions Received and Contributions Made
  • FASB ASU No. 2016-02 Leases (Topic 842) including changes to the balance sheet presentation and notes disclosures of certain lease arrangements.
