 Primary Responsibilities of the Role:  

  • Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day financial activities for our clients.
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department to produce accurate and timely financial reports and statements.
  • Assist the accounting team to record complex transactions.
  • Review complex account reconciliations prepared by the accounting team.
  • Analyze and interpret financial information and regularly present to the client’s leadership.
  • Develop budgets, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Review payroll and payroll tax compliance, property taxes, sales tax and other annual compliance filings as needed.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Supervise accountants, provide training and mentoring.
  • Provide on-going feedback to team members, including periodic written feedback.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP principles.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvement and areas for automation including implementations.
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Your Qualifications:   

  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 10 years, including 5 years prior supervisory experience in accounting or finance.
  • Proven knowledge of US GAAP and accounting processes.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in QuickBooks and CCH ProSystem Engagement is a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience of accounting/finance systems implementations.
  • Basic understanding of the different types of entities and their tax treatment.
  • Must be able to travel to clients’ offices in the South Bay area

Salary Pay Scale 

  • This position’s salary range is: $130,000 to $160,000 per year
